'Israeli foreign ministry workers are irked by the suspension of Tel Aviv's deputy ambassador to Washington, saying the dismissal is yet another act of intimidation against the ministry.
Dan Arbel was relieved of his duties by the Israeli Foreign Ministry Director General Rafael Barak on Tuesday for allegedly leaking sensitive information to a Ha'aretz reporter back in 2009. Arbel's dismissal came after he admitted to leaking sensitive information about a dialogue between Israel and the United States concerning Iran's nuclear program.
The article angered US officials whose complaint prompted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's former national security advisor Uzi Arad to order an investigation by the Shin Bet security service into the affair. Arad himself was sacked from Netanyahu's office over suspicions of another leak.'
